Born and raised in the midwest I discovered photography while documenting my experiences in the punk and hardcore music scenes of Nebraska—later touring the country in a band—learning how to tell stories and collaborate through music and visual art.

I hold an MFA in Photography from Indiana University-Bloomington and a BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln—having spent most of my career teaching in higher education at a number of institutions while also working in the creative world as a designer, art director and interactive developer.

My experience as a cross-disciplinary creative has always been rooted in photography and I have a detail-oriented approach with a design background that supports various content strategies for print and digital media.
